Estimating repairs when flipping houses can be a real challenge. Baltimore Real estate investor Steve Cook explains what he typically spends on a kitchen for an average rehab to flip, as well as his thoughts on granite counter tops.

    I agree. In my last kitchen remodel I spent more than 5k on the cabinets and trim. $1,100.00 For flooring material. $1,000.00 just for the appliances. $3,000.00 for the Granite. The total was about $14,000.00. and I don’t have a contractor. I do everything (plumbing, gas, electrical) myself.

    You have to understand, not every home will warrant a repair like this….

    On my most recent flip, we spent $500 or so on the kitchen remodel, most of the stuff was in decent condition and just needed some reworking.
